Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. -Proverbs 22:6
Children are a blessing from the Lord. With these blessings also come responsibilities. As stewards of God’s children, parents are responsible for helping children grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Churches have a responsibility toward children, too. We want to provide an environment in which children are safe, taught at an age-appropriate level, and encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We minister to the spiritual needs of our children through a children’s ministry. The need for this ministry is evident in that many young people reach adulthood and decide not to follow Christ. It is our intention to partner with parents to help their children come to a place where they have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Children's Sunday School
At Peace, we understand that the Bible is God's metanarrative or "big story". We believe it is essential that our children understand that each of the Bible stories that they learn are all part of this big story. DWELL is intentionally crafted as an ongoing journey in God’s story. Each year builds on the previous one—from preschool all the way through grade 8. In age-appropriate ways,
children are introduced to beautiful simplicity, growing complexity, and deeper mystery. To see the entire scope and sequence for the Sunday School curriculum, click here.
Our Children's Music is lead by our Music Director Minda Thompson. Children's music takes place as a part of the Sunday School hour beginning at 10:45 am. Our children learn songs to help participate in worship and in the life of the church in many ways!
Our 2017 Vacation Bible School will be held June 12-15 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm for all children kindergarten through 5th grade. This year's them is Paul and the Underground Church.
